The OHANA Health and Wealth Company was started by J. Derick Benson with the help of Deborah Mathis. Benson had extensive experience with running a home business and Mathis was the business associate that he trusted the most. Together with a team of “Cofounders” a company was made.
OHANA has two major product lines. They market a skin care line to customers in the United States and they also make a product called Mega A+. Mega A+ is made up of organic antioxidants or “super” antioxidants as the OHANA Company calls them. Mega A+ comes in powder form and is meant to be used as a beverage mix that promises to be extra healthy and have anti-aging properties. The OHANA skincare line is called OHANA Sensations. It is partnered with the Maria Garcia line of skin care products. OHANA Sensations boasts that it can be used for aging, acne, hyper-pigmentation and even environmental damage. The skin care line is not gender specific-both genders can use it without feeling like they are using the wrong products.
The OHANA Health and Wealth Opportunity provides individuals with the opportunity to start their own home based businesses that sell the OHANA products. There are a variety of start up kits from the OHW Basic Club Member starter kit right on up through the OHW Essentials PLUS Case. The basic club member starter kit comes with a website for the individual’s business, a few fliers, a few starter packs of Mega A+, a description booklet for the OHANA skincare line, some skincare samples and the Policy and Procedures as well as Applications for Independent Associates.
Over time OHANA independent representatives will have the opportunity to move up within the company and become honored Founding Members or even Chief Founding Members. There is even something called the OHANA Health & Wealth 100K Club which brags that it offers members ten different ways to earn income.
The opportunity looks mostly straightforward, but the company is very secretive about how the opportunity works on a management level. What kinds of commissions exist? How are they paid out? How often are members paid? How exactly are independent representatives expected to sell these products? Are they required to buy the products and then resell them and if so, for how much? This is all basic information that needs to be told up front before asking someone to sign up for an opportunity. Apparently the OHANA Company would rather it be the other way around. Also, while the basic membership kit is very reasonably priced (just under twenty dollars) the rest of the membership levels are very spendy. The highest level costs almost six hundred dollars. That is a lot of money to spend with no guarantee that you’ll at least make your money back.
The OHANA Health and Wellness company wants to promote small, home based business and high income earning, but they are a little shady on exactly how the program works. Approach this one skeptically.
